ANCORA FISH

About Us
Ancora Fish specializes in the processing of pelagic fish. We are located in the port of Ribeira, in A Coruña, Galicia, and operate daily at the main fish markets along the Cantabrian coast.
We have over 30 years of experience in the fishing industry, covering the entire value chain: contracts with fishing vessels, purchasing, processing, and freezing of fish, as well as quality control through to the final product.
We also work closely with two plants in Morocco, where we have our own team that monitors the quality of raw materials on-site. We handle large purchase volumes, which allows us to ensure highly competitive prices and rigorous traceability for each batch.
The main products we handle in Morocco are:
-
Sardine (Sardina pilchardus)
-
Pacific saury (Scomber colias)
-
Bigeye tuna (Sarda sarda)
-
Skipjack tuna (Auxis thazard)
All of our fish come from sustainable sources that adhere to fishing practices that respect the marine ecosystem and fish populations.
Top-quality products all the way to their final destination
Our quality control department operates in accordance with the standards required by each market.
Through continuous monitoring and inspection before, during, and after each process, combined with strict adherence to the cold chain, we ensure that our customers receive products of the highest quality all the way to their final destination, in compliance with European Union regulations (91/493 and 94/356/EEC).
